The Silent Auction tradition began six years ago when an adorable baby boy was born to the parents of one of our Valhalla staff. This beautiful child was diagnosed with AGS, an extremely rare and incurable disease. It was with great joy, we The Valhalla Norsemen were able to help out during a time of need.
The following year, midway through the school year the student of a classified staff member suffered a serious and often fatal brain aneurysm while attending class. After a lengthy hospital stay and many touch and go moments, this student has now recovered and is leading a full and productive life. The senior class unanimously chose to offer financial assistance to the family.
More recently, tragedy once again struck a member of our Valhalla Family. The spouse of a Valhalla teacher was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. The monies generated and designated by our senior class helped her and her two young children during a very difficult time.
Your tax-deductible donation will continue the giving tradition to provide support for our Valhalla Family who may be facing extraordinary circumstances. The final decision regarding distribution of these funds is made by the graduation committee, administration and current Senior Class Officers.
