Valhalla Gives Back Week has two main drives. We are conducting a canned food drive and an old cell phone collection. The canned food will go to a local shelter and the old cell phones will be donated to the Kiwanis Club's E-waste drive this Saturday in our parking lot. It is also the intention of the ASB class to collect various items for the Humane Society.
In addition to collecting goods, on Friday we will have blank banners on the East Lawn that will be part of our "Support the Troops and Support Peace Day." It is our hope that people will fill those banners with messages of support and hope and we can send them to the appropriate parties.
To cap off our amazing week we will have a dance in the gym on Friday. Students can gain admittance to the dance with 3 cans of food or one old cell phone. The Dance will take place from 8pm until 11pm.
Dress-up for this week:
WEDNESDAY- GREEN DAY- You can wear green, something recycled, something that shows you care about our planet!
THURSDAY- SAVE THE RAINFOREST DAY - Wear animal prints or dress like your favorite animal.
FRIDAY - SUPPORT THE TROOPS AND SUPPORT PEACE DAY - Support the Troops and Peace by dressing in camo, peace themed outfits, etc. Get free pizza for dressing up or wearing Orange Nation T-Shirts. Come sign the banner for the troops at lunch on the east lawn.

The Sweethearts Dance will be on January 31st at the Naval Training Center's Promenade in Point Loma.Click for Directions The dance begins at 7pm and will end promptly at 11pm. The cost is $40 for students with ASB cards, $45 without and $45 for outside guests. Outside guests need to be cleared through the VP office by Jan 23rd. Students will not be able to buy a ticket if there are current fines against them. Students will need to clear their fines with the appropriate people (i.e.Bookroom, Library, Athletics, etc.). If fines are with someone other than Finance, please complete a Fine Clearance Form and have it signed off by the appropriate department. Bring that signed form with you to purchase your ticket. Tickets will be sold at the finance office before and after school, or during break and lunch. Tickets will not be sold during class time. |

Students who wear their Orange Nation Shirts will have the opportunity to get free stuff later, including Pizza Fridays. Orange Nation will have cheering sections at games.
