VALHALLA

Valhalla is the heaven in Asgard, for the gods and for the many warriors who died in battle.
At VALHALLA: This is our school name and what we are proud to call home.

 

ODIN

(o-din)

Odin is Father of the Gods, King of Asgard, Ruler of the Aesir and the Lord of War, Death and Knowledge.
At VALHALLA: Odin's March brings in the new 9th graders every year as they pass through the Rainbow Bridge, touch Thor's Hammer and enter the great halls of Valhalla.

 

THOR

(th-or)
Thor is the God of Thunder, and the son of Odin. His hammer, the Mjollnir, creates lighting and is always ready to do battle.
At VALHALLA: Thor is our Mascot and his hammer is touched by all 9th graders at Odin's March and also by the Seniors at Graduation.

 

RAINBOW BRIDGE

Passing under the Rainbow Bridge, also known as Bifröst, is a place of passing judgement.
At VALHALLA: The Rainbow Bridge is what the freshmen enter through during Odin's Procession.
 

SAGA

(sa-ga)
Saga is the daughter of Odin and godess of poetry and history.
At VALHALLA: Saga is the name of the School Newspaper
 

RAGNAROK

(Rag-na-rock)

The End of the World.
At VALHALLA: The Ragnarok is the name of our Yearbook.

 

VALKYRIES

(val-kar-iees)
Valkyries were battle maidens that searched with Odin for the braviest Norse Warriors.
At VALHALLA: Valkyries are a group of students that work with our Sports Teams as they battle their opponents.

The Koenig Family was a German Ruling Clan
At VALHALLA: The House of Koenig is the ASB side of Student Government
 

WIGLAF
