INTRODUCTION TO RESEARCH PROJECT

Greetings, and thank you for your participation in this important research project.

Santana English Teacher Nancy Magee and Valhalla Library Media Teacher Steve Montgomery are conducting this research project as part of their Masters in Library and Information Science program at San Jose State University. The goal of the project is to evaluae how student learning is affected when classroom teachers and library media teachers collaborate on the design, implementation, and assessment of curricula in a variety of subject areas.

GUHSD Classroom Teachers: To participate in this research study, please do the following:

Meet with your site Library Media Teacher(s) well in advance of your proposed collaborative unit/lesson.
Collaborate on the design of the project (more information is provided in the links below, and on the Forms Page).
Implement the curricular unit/lesson in partnership with the Library Media Teacher(s).
Using the forms provided on the Forms Page, evaluate the project independently, and in a follow-up meeting with the Library Media Teacher(s).
Send forms electronically via this website, or leave all forms with the Library Media Teacher(s); he/she will get them to Nancy and Steve.
