Congratulations to the students and staff of Valhalla High School on their outstanding achievement in the California State Testing. Valhalla scored an 821, which is a 21 point increase from last year. Valhalla continues to set the bar in the east county. Not only did Valhalla have the highest score in the Grossmont District, the score put Valhalla in the Top Ten for all large schools in San Diego. Way to go Valhalla!!! |
As part of a cooperative project between the Valhalla Foundation and the Grossmont District, the entire Valhalla Campus is being watered from a well. About two years ago, in an effort to save money, a well was dug on the East Lawn of the school. Through the efforts of the community and the school district, the well has been hooked up to the irrigation system and is making the lawns as green as ever. In times of economic crisis, it is great to be able to save money by using the natural resources that we have right underneath us.
