  • District Writing Assessment
    The District Writing Assessment will be given in English classes district wide from December 15th, 2014 through January 22nd, 2015. The purpose of this assessment is to equitably and objectively assess student learning, specifically expository reading and writing as aligned to the Common Core State Standards.  The administration of the District Writing Assessment will take (on average) 4-5 days and Valhalla is striving for 100% participation/completion of the assessment. Please ask your English teacher about the specific testing dates for your class and good luck on this high stakes writing assessment!

    Grossmont Union High School District parents can now access student information through the Districts new Infinite Campus Portal. This portal allows for improved school communication and gives parents immediate access to the information they need to ensure that their students are successful at school. Infinite Campus Portal is a powerful tool for obtaining information about your student.     CAASPP, SBAC, TIDE, API, AYP.....What do they all have in common? They are all part of a greater list of "Educationese." Educational speak can be very confusing. These words are thrown around often with a belief that those around them know what they are talking about. Well now you too can know what everyone is talking about.
