This year's state testing schedule for Valhalla will take place between May 17th and May 25th. Each of the seven school days of testing will include a 3-hour block in the morning for testing. This does not mean that every student is testing everyday. Download the schedule to view the days in which the students will test. More information will be coming out soon.

The Grossmont Parent Education Program proudly presents the 16th Annual Family University Event. This year's theme is "Under the Sea." Many fun carnival games for children with free prizes, free Child ID Cards and community resources for parents and caregivers. Community Resources Participating: El Cajon Fire Department, El Cajon Police, American Red Cross, and more. Also, Free Raffle Baskets, and a Scholastic Book Fair. Parent Education Presentations by Instructors all morning. The event takes place on Saturday, May 19, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm at Foothills Adult Center located at 1550 Melody Lane, El Cajon, CA 92019. *There is no cost for the event and you may register online: adultschool.guhsd.net |

Parents: If you have not turned in your student's registration paper work for the 2012-2013 school year, please turn it in immediately, either to the counseling office or assistant principal's office between the hours of 7:30 am - 3 pm. Please remember to bring the following documents:
Student's birth certificate (Inc 9th graders only)
Students's immunization record (Inc. 9th graders only)
Two proofs of "current" residence (all students)
Note' Insurance paper work, bank statements (other than mortgage bill) and credit card bills will not be accepted as proof of residence. Student picture makeup will take place sometime in September. Date will posted on our website and our student bulletin. |

All Freshmen and Juniors were already asked to be a part of our school’s California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) sponsored by the California Department of Education. This is a very important survey that will help promote better health among our youth, improve the school learning environment and Survey Content. The survey gathers information on developmental supports provided to youth; school connectedness and barriers to learning; school safety; and health-related concerns such as physical activity and nutritional habits; alcohol, tobacco and other drug use; and risk of depression and suicide. If you have questions, you may contact Jeanie Pugh, Assistant Principal at 593-5321.
